Kohoutek 2012

My humble hippie institution of higher education hosted the 39th annual Kohoutek music and arts festival this past weekend, and by the time the Juan Maclean cooled off the enormous gathering of sweaty dancers and everyone waded through the detritus of empty beer bottles, I realized how special this festival was and how much better college is than any previous educational experiences.

I wish I could go into more detail, but I must write papers, so I’ll provide a summary. There were some high energy performers (Raheem Cohen, Knowmads, Tornado Rider), a few duds, two DJs as headliners, and this guy:

He was the best sounding, most creative, hardest working, and most engaging performer (also the only performer for whom the audience requested an encore, with broken strings, no less). Purchase his stuff.
